The owner and manager Liz has recreated an old bistro in exactly the same location that she managed throughout the 90s. Haligonians were sad to see Le Bistro Café close in early 2002 when new owners changed many of the best-loved features. Locals have been flocking to the New Le Bistro by Liz since it opened in December of 2011.
The French-inspired is décor inviting. Bistro tables topped with red and white checkered tablecloths and a glassed-in atrium is fully greenery.
From the moment you enter the doors you get caught up in the unpretentious atmosphere, hear the buzz of friendly conversation and experience the best in customer service… Quick lunches, great brunches and evenings that never end… Live entertainment on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings… Le Bistro is the place for any occasion or delectable delight.

We were a reserved dinner party of 5. We were quickly greeted and seated to wait for our table. Two servers had our drinks and water to us quickly. The owner was on-site and active. She shifted us to our table and Heidi was in soon to take our orders. The food was excellent. Escargot, bruschetta, halibut... all beautifully prepared and delicious.
I wanted to put a big shout-out to Liz and her staff for the Mothers Day Box. Wow. Everything was delicious right down to the candy treats. Thank you so much. Very Happy.
Delicious French cuisine. The food and service were wonderful. The first time we went there was a small issue with my appetizer arriving at the same time as my main but they very graciously took the appetizer off the bill. Coquille Ste. Jacques was fantastic. Kristan our server both times was wonderful, had a great personality and very professional.
A must-visit brunch spot whenever I head to Halifax. Great service, complimentary mimosa, and the Croque monsieur is perfection.
